Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game that was developed by Gearbox Software. The software program used to create the game was unreal engine 3. This lead to the unique art style and portrayal of Pandora and the characters art style. The art style is endearing and pleasant to the eye, this is part of what draws me personally into the games along with the character design. The characters may seem very simple on the surface but the background that you gather throughout the game shows a much more complex and interesting world that forces you to come to your own conclusions about who is truly trying to help. My personal favorite character is Tiny Tina who is an NPC that is very quirky and attention grabbing. Little quirks about each character is what draws you in and they provide a human connection that captivates us as players and gives motivation to continue the story.
While great in design and art style the audio can be lacking at times and the events are not always in the player’s control. This can lead to being put in situations impossible to get out of with inevitable death as the only solace. The dialogue can often overlap with music and event related noises and at times even overlaps itself making part of the story be lost or misheard. Another irritating fact about the game is how you travel. It can take very long periods of time to get from point A to point B but this is also a nice time to explore. Overall I believe that the pro’s outweigh the con’s and the game overall is a great addition to an already beloved series.
